Hockey Facilities
Ngā Puna Wai is home to the Christchurch athletics and sporting facility replacing what used to be at QEII Park along with the hockey turfs at Porritt Park, some of the tennis courts at Wilding Park and the rugby league fields displaced from Rugby League Park in Addington by Christchurch Stadium, all of which were damaged as a result of the 2011 earthquakes.
Ngā Puna Wai's hockey facilities include two International Hockey Federation-certified water-based synthetic pitches, including team dugouts, referee facilities and video towers.
Spectators can take comfort in a 300-seat covered spectator stand or watch the games from the terraces around each pitch.
Alternatively, stand on the shared athletics embankment to watch both sports in action.
